This Miresua conlang word has been changed. The word for neck is now laupo.

The Basque word is similar to the Spanish word for stairs, escalera.

I know that I'm not making profound progress, but I'm continuing to add words. I found four occurances of the word stairs in Alice's Adventures in Wonderland.

This is the word for the small flying mammal. The word bat occurs in Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. "Twinkle, twinkle, little bat! How I wonder what you're at!" starts a poem recited by the Mad Hatter.

My previous word for rat was arrota.

No Basque word starts with R, instead this letter is always preceded by a vowel or a vowel combined with a second R. Finnish words can start with R. For Miresua, I chose to allow starting consonants used in Basque or Finnish or both languages. So Miresua words can start in R. Since the Finnish word starts in R, I decided to let my Miresua word do too.

I mixed this word up at the last minute. Alice encounters an oversized mushroom in Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. She learns from the Caterpillar that nibbling a piece of mushroom from "one side will make you grow taller, and the other side will make you grow shorter."
